A paper published in 2020(1), discussed results of an carbonaceous chondrite fragment with amphibole(2) derived from meteor pieces found at Almahata Sitta, Sudan. Those authors state that “amphiboles are rare in carbonaceous chondrites, and would require prolonged meta-morphism in a large (about 640–1,800 km diam.) asteroid that is as yet unknown”. The author of this Venus Story suggests that the Venus Comet may have been the source of that meteor.
