A Story of the Planet Venus
Looking For The Planet Venus Prior to 1200 BC

The multiple Flood stories, found worldwide, come to us from that early time. A point that is repeatedly mentioned in those 500+ stories, but not emphasised, is that those who survived had been individually told far enough in advance, to prepare for the Flood. Each of them had acted on that warning. Others may have been given the warning too, but only the survivors got to tell their stories. That such a warning was given, tells us that there were people who understood celestial motions well enough and had studied the orbit of this particular object long enough, to make their prediction. That warning was not just a lucky guess 500+ times. The people with the knowledge also had the means to distribute their warning around the world. Those who gave the warning became referred to as "Gods" because of their help.
Was It A Singular Event?
A common assumption in the story of the 13,003 YA catastrophe, is that it was a singular event. The comet hit the Earth or it swept by closely, and that was it. But was it really an event that was over and done with in an afternoon? By keeping an open mind, we can ask "Might the comet have been one of a cluster, and the other parts continued on in an orbit that later revisited the Earth?" Or perhaps "Was it some large body that was not destroyed, but remained in an orbit that continued to threaten the Earth?" The debris that comprises the Asteroid Belt is vastly inadequate to have formed an object large enough to have damaged the Earth. Its material may indicate that its original body was "collateral damage" in some other collision.
In addition to this puzzle just posed by the author, there is a second one just as large and just as demanding of our attention. Our well-known planet Venus is not mentioned nor described by the ancients. Its presence, beauty and brilliance is not remarked on by ancient writers at all even though to us, it is the second brightest object in the night sky. Modern writers assume that it must have been visible and write fictional accounts of it's presence in the skies before 800 BCE. Comments by those writers that it was so, are not supported by artifacts or writings dated prior to that time.
