The Venus Comet Unveiled ?
In the ancient history, we find repeated references to destructions coming from the sky. They are found from the earliest known and readable writings of the Sumerians dated ca 4000 BCE to Hebrew and Assyrian writings about 680 BCE. Babylonian calendar calculations about 600 BCE indicate that all is calm.
Singularly, almost ALL of these references noted by the author, identify a powerful Goddess of War. She is also said to be the Goddess of Women, of the Home, of Weaving, of the Care of Children, and of the Primeval Sea (salt water) amongst other citations. She was entreated and worshiped to encourage her to not attack her worshippers. In cultures located in the Near East, eastern Mediterranean, Africa plus Central and South America, she is frequently associated with death and lions. The Inuit of North America have a "Bad Woman”, but the First Nations people east of the Mississippi River speak of the “Serpent”. There are two known cultures that differed.
This goddess, whether in the sky or in picture form, is given a name. The Appendix 2 - Serpent & Dragon Lore describes and depicts many of these images as created by various cultures at the time that she/he “flourished”. Various names are given. Keep referring to it as you read this book.
In China, the protagonist is thought of as a male god and associated with large quantities of water that "poison the land". This is thought to be "salt water". There is a separate entity, associated with fire, that fights with the water god but not for the people.
The other exception, mentioned above, is that the Israelites under Moses see that object in the sky as inanimate, and being used as a tool of their Lord. It damaged Egypt and was used to make a path through the Red Sea for them. The object itself, is not their god. Their deity provides guidance on how to take advantage of the actions of that object. After the Venus Comet becomes the planet Venus, the deity provides guidance on dealing with the planet Mars (called Ba' al among other things), as it strikes terror around the Middle East.
